International exchange through the NEXUS Y-tec Program

Update:2025.12.19

From December 2024 to December 2025, with the support of the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), Kyutech implemented the ASEAN–Japan Science, Technology and Innovation Cooperation Program NEXUS (Networked Exchange, United Strength for Stronger Partnerships) under the Young Researchers Exchange Program (Y-tec).

Under the research theme “Cooling for Photovoltaic Cells with Self-Cleaning Coating,” Kyutech and the University of Malaya (Malaysia) promoted joint research through mutual exchanges of young researchers and students, combined with online collaboration. By integrating the strengths of both institutions, the program strengthened international research collaboration and fostered the development of next-generation researchers.

A total of 15 participants took part in the exchange, deepening educational and research ties. In December 2025, the International Workshop for NEXUS 2025 was held, where participants presented their results and engaged in active discussions.

The workshop was partially supported by Kitakyushu City and Kitakyushu Convention and Visitors Association.
